Affiliate disclosure
Last updated: June 2026
In plain English: The Remote Stack is reader-supported. When you click certain links on this site and sign up for or buy a product, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. This is how we fund the time it takes to test and maintain our reviews.
FTC disclosure
In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose that The Remote Stack has financial relationships with some of the companies whose products we review. We may receive compensation through affiliate programs (for example via PartnerStack, Impact, or vendors' direct affiliate programs) when readers click outbound links marked as sponsored and subsequently take a qualifying action, such as creating a trial or paid account.
How affiliate links are marked
Affiliate links on this site open in a new tab and use the
rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute, in line with search-engine
and advertising guidelines. Monetized pages also display a visible
affiliate disclosure near the top of the page.
Our editorial commitment
- Commissions never change our ratings or rankings. A higher payout does not buy a better score or placement.
- We include real cons. Every review names genuine downsides, even for tools we earn from.
- We recommend tools we believe fit the reader's need — including free options like Clockify and Toggl Track's free tier, which may earn us little or nothing.
- We mark unverified data. We never invent prices, dates or statistics to make a sale.
Products and relationships
We may have, or may in future establish, affiliate relationships with the vendors reviewed on this site, including (but not limited to) Time Doctor, Hubstaff, Toggl Track, Clockify, RescueTime, DeskTime, Insightful and ActivTrak. The presence of an affiliate relationship does not guarantee a positive review.
